  1. General Description:

Laser output mirrors are critical components used in resonant cavities to control the output mode and ensure laser power consistency. These mirrors reflect a part of the energy back into the resonant cavity while allowing the rest to be transmitted for various applications such as cutting, welding, and heat treatment.

Shape Optics Technologies manufactures high-performance laser output mirrors designed for CO2 and YAG laser systems, among others. These mirrors are built with high damage thresholds, ensuring longevity and reliability in high-power laser systems. The mirrors are crafted from superior materials like BK7 and ZnSe to match specific laser wavelengths. Reflectivity values can be customized to achieve the best performance for each particular application.

With high precision, these mirrors ensure that lasers are accurately directed and that the energy is optimally split between the resonant cavity and the output. Shape Optics Technologies offers a comprehensive solution, with customizations available for unique specifications based on laser system requirements.

  1. Spectrum Transmission Curves:

Shape Optics Technologies provides custom solutions based on the exact wavelength needs of the system. Custom transmission curves will be generated upon request, ensuring compatibility with your system’s unique requirements. These curves are based on our standard mirrors but can be adjusted for optimal transmission and reflectivity based on your operational needs.

  1. Coating Quality:
  • Adhesion Test: Compliant with MIL-C-675C military standards. This test involves applying a tape meeting LT-90 specifications to the lens film layer, which is then removed three times without causing blistering or peeling.
  • Temperature Test: Test pieces are exposed to temperatures between -62±1℃ and 71±1℃, with the adhesion test repeated after exposure at room temperature, confirming no film detachment.
  • Abrasion Resistance Test: Conforms to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards, applying a minimum force of 1.0 lbs (0.45 kg) to the film 25 times, with no surface damage.
  • Humidity Test: Test pieces are exposed to 95%-100% humidity at 49 ±2℃ for 24 hours, and the film remains intact without defects.
  • Solvent and Cleaning Test: Exposed to acetone and alcohol at room temperature for 10 minutes each, followed by air drying and cleaning with alcohol-soaked cotton, showing no signs of peeling or scratches.
  • Salt Spray Test: After 100 hours in a 35°C saltwater environment with a 5% concentration, the film shows no signs of damage.
