  1. General Description

Shape Optics Technologies Pte Ltd (SOT) offers Fluorescence Filters (Narrow Bandpass Filters) designed to isolate and transmit a specified narrow wavelength range while reflecting all other incident wavelengths. These filters are essential for applications such as fluorescence microscopy, biotechnology, clinical chemistry, and other analytical techniques that require the precise isolation of light.

The high transmission of SOT’s fluorescence filters ensures that the fluorescence signal is bright and clear. The narrow bandpass ensures that only the relevant wavelengths pass through, while the deep blocking feature prevents other unwanted light from reaching the detector. This makes them ideal for use in applications such as GFP FRET, photon detection, quantum dot imaging, and contrast imaging.

These filters are designed for use in various microscope systems, fluorescence analyzers, and other optical instruments requiring high precision and sharp wavelength isolation. Available in multiple sizes (Φ8mm, Φ12mm), SOT’s fluorescence filters are fabricated to meet the highest standards, offering excellent performance in both single and multi-wavelength applications.

  1. Coating Quality
  • Adhesion Test: The coatings used on the filters comply with MIL-C-675C military standards. The adhesion test involved applying a tape that meets LT-90 specifications to the lens film layer. The tape was affixed fully and removed vertically three times, resulting in no blistering or peeling.
  • Temperature Test: Following MIL-C-675C specifications, test pieces were subjected to temperatures of -62±1℃ and 71±1℃. After holding the pieces at room temperature (16℃–32℃) for two hours, the adhesion test was repeated and confirmed that the film remained intact with no detachment.
  • Abrasion Resistance Test: The filter passed the abrasion resistance test according to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards, using a gauze tester that applied a minimum force of 1.0 lbs (0.45 kg) for 25 cycles. No damage to the surface was observed.
  • Humidity Test: The filters were exposed to a controlled temperature and humidity chamber set at 49±2°C and 95%–100% humidity for 24 hours under MIL-C-675C criteria. The film remained intact, with no peeling, scratches, or defects.
  • Solvent and Cleaning Test: The test followed MIL-C-675C specifications and involved exposing the filter to acetone and alcohol at room temperature for at least 10 minutes each. After air drying and cleaning with a cotton cloth soaked in alcohol, the film showed no signs of peeling or scratches.
  • Salt Spray Test: After 100 hours in a 35°C environment with a 5% saltwater concentration, the film showed no signs of damage, confirming high resistance to corrosion.
