Fluorescence Filter

Fluorescence Filters | Narrow Bandpass Optical Filters

Features

  • High Transmission: Designed to deliver high peak transmission within narrow wavelength bands, ensuring bright, high-contrast fluorescence signals.
  • Sharp Spectral Slope: Steep cut-on and cut-off slopes enable precise wavelength isolation, significantly improving signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in fluorescence imaging.
  • Wide Application Range: Suitable for single- and multi-channel microscopy applications, including GFP, FRET, photon detection, quantum dot imaging, and contrast imaging.
  • Deep Blocking: Provides deep out-of-band blocking (>OD6) to prevent stray light and excitation leakage from reaching the detector.
  • Durable and Reliable: Manufactured with high-quality optical substrates and advanced thin-film coatings, ensuring long-term stability and consistent performance in demanding environments.

General Description

SOT offers fluorescence filters (narrow bandpass optical filters) engineered to selectively transmit a specific wavelength band while reflecting or blocking all other wavelengths. These filters are essential components in fluorescence microscopy, biotechnology, clinical chemistry, analytical instrumentation, and life science research.

SOT fluorescence filters combine high transmission, narrow bandwidth control, and deep blocking, making them ideal for applications requiring precise spectral separation, such as GFP/FRET imaging, quantum dot fluorescence, photon detection, and contrast-enhanced imaging.

Designed for compatibility with microscope systems, fluorescence analyzers, and optical detection modules, these filters are available in standard sizes such as Φ8 mm and Φ12 mm, with additional custom formats upon request.

Spectrum Transmission Curves

Standard spectral transmission curves are available for reference.
If standard products do not meet your system requirements, custom fluorescence filters can be designed to match your exact excitation, emission, and dichroic wavelength specifications, bandwidth, and blocking levels.

Coating Quality & Environmental Reliability

All fluorescence filters are tested according to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards to ensure coating durability and environmental stability:

  • Adhesion Test: LT-90 compliant tape test performed three times with no blistering or peeling.
  • Temperature Cycling Test: Tested at –62 ± 1 °C and 71 ± 1 °C, followed by adhesion verification with no film detachment.
  • Abrasion Resistance Test: Gauze abrasion test at ≥1.0 lb (0.45 kg) for 25 cycles, with no surface damage.
  • Humidity Test: Exposed to 49 ± 2 °C, 95–100% RH for 24 hours, showing no peeling, scratches, or defects.
  • Solvent & Cleaning Test: Immersion in acetone and alcohol for ≥10 minutes each; coating remained fully intact.
  • Salt Spray Test: 100 hours at 35 °C with 5% salt solution, confirming excellent corrosion resistance.
