A Total Reflector is a key optical component used primarily as a back mirror or folding mirror in laser systems. Its main function is to redirect laser beams within resonant cavities or guide the beam path outside the laser source with minimal loss and high stability.

These materials provide excellent durability, thermal conductivity, and resistance to thermal shock, making total reflectors especially suitable for high-power CO₂ and solid-state laser systems.

By maintaining beam quality and intensity throughout the optical path, SOT total reflectors play a critical role in laser engraving, cutting, marking, and other precision laser processes.

  • Fused Silica:

    • Optimized for 1064 nm (Nd:YAG / fiber lasers)

    • Reflectivity ≥99.7%

This high reflectivity ensures maximum energy efficiency and stable laser output.

Coating Quality & Reliability

All total reflectors are tested according to stringent international standards:

  • Adhesion Test – MIL-C-675C compliant, no blistering or peeling
  • Thermal Cycling – −62 °C to +71 °C with no coating detachment
  • Abrasion Resistance – MIL-C-675C & CCC-C-440, 25 cycles at 0.45 kg
  • Humidity Resistance – 95–100% RH at 49 °C for 24 hours, no defects
  • Solvent & Cleaning Resistance – Acetone and alcohol exposure without damage
  • Salt Spray Test – 100 hours at 5% salinity with no corrosion
