Notch Filters

Optical Notch Filters | Laser Line Rejection Filters

SOT offers high-performance Optical Notch Filters engineered to selectively block a specific laser wavelength while allowing the rest of the spectrum to pass with minimal loss. These filters are essential in optical systems where strong suppression of an excitation wavelength is required without compromising signal throughput.

Manufactured using H-K9L optical glass and advanced thin-film coating technology, SOT notch filters provide deep rejection (OD4) at the blocked wavelength with excellent transmission elsewhere. This makes them particularly effective in Raman spectroscopy, where laser line rejection is critical, as well as in fluorescence imaging, confocal microscopy, and spectral analysis instruments.

Key Features

  • High Transmittance Outside the Notch: Delivers high average transmission (Tavg > 90%) across the spectrum while selectively blocking only the target wavelength.
  • Deep Reflection at Blocked Wavelength: Provides strong reflection and deep attenuation (OD4) at the notch wavelength to effectively suppress laser lines.
  • Ultra-Narrow Rejection Band: Precisely rejects a very narrow spectral band, ideal for applications requiring clean spectral separation.
  • Custom Laser Wavelengths Available: Supports common laser lines such as 488 nm, 532 nm, 632.8 nm, and 1064 nm, with customization available.
  • Broad Scientific & Industrial Use:Optimized for Raman spectroscopy, laser-induced fluorescence, confocal and multi-photon microscopy.
