Description
- Features
- High Transmittance: Ensures high light transmission for a broad range of wavelengths, excluding only the specific blocked wavelengths.
- Deep Reflection: Capable of providing strong reflection across specific wavelengths while allowing the rest of the spectrum to pass through.
- Narrow Rejection Bands: Filters out very specific wavelength ranges, ideal for selective wavelength separation.
- Customizable Wavelengths: Available for different custom wavelengths such as 488nm, 532nm, 632.8nm, and 1064nm.
- Versatile Applications: Perfect for Raman spectroscopy, laser-based fluorescence instrumentation, and confocal/multi-photon microscopy.
- General Description
Notch Filters are optical filters designed to selectively block specific wavelengths, effectively rejecting a narrow portion of the spectrum while allowing the transmission of all other wavelengths. These filters are especially useful in applications where it is necessary to block a specific wavelength, such as in Raman spectroscopy, laser-based fluorescence instruments, or confocal/multi-photon microscopy. Their highly efficient rejection capability ensures that only the desired wavelengths pass through, with a strong reflection in the blocked range. The filters are made from H-K9L material, offering high durability and low optical distortion. SOT’s Notch Filters offer excellent performance across various wavelengths (e.g., 488, 532, 1064nm), delivering precise optical performance for demanding applications in scientific, medical, and industrial instrumentation.

- Coating Quality
- Adhesion Test: Adheres to MIL-C-675C military standards. A tape (LT-90 specification) is applied to the lens film layer and removed three times without causing blistering or peeling.
- Temperature Test: Test pieces undergo temperatures of -62±1°C and 71±1°C per MIL-C-675C specifications. After two hours at room temperature (16-32°C), no film detachment occurs.
- Abrasion Resistance Test: Conforming to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards, a gauze tester applies a minimum force of 1.0 lbs (0.45 kg) to the film for 25 cycles with no damage to the surface.
- Humidity Test: Under MIL-C-675C standards, the film remains intact in controlled temperature and humidity (49±2°C, 95%-100% humidity) for 24 hours with no peeling or defects.
- Solvent and Cleaning Test: After exposure to acetone and alcohol for 10 minutes each, followed by cleaning with a cotton cloth, the film shows no peeling or scratches.
- Salt Spray Test: No damage is observed after 100 hours of exposure to a 5% saltwater solution at 35°C.
