General Description

Shape Optics Technologies (SOT) manufactures high-performance multiple-channel optical filters using advanced optical thin-film coating technologies. These filters are engineered for applications that demand high spectral precision, low error tolerance, and long-term stability.

SOT multi-channel filters are widely used in biomedical and fluorescence instruments, enabling accurate separation of multiple signal channels within a single optical element. By combining high transmission, deep blocking, narrow FWHM, and sharp slopes, these filters ensure reliable wavelength isolation in highly sensitive detection systems.

Available designs include dual-channel, triple-channel, and four-channel filters, supporting complex optical architectures where multiple wavelengths must be detected simultaneously. Coating Quality & Reliability Testing

All SOT multiple-channel filters undergo stringent environmental and durability testing in accordance with MIL-C-675C standards:

  • Adhesion Test: LT-90 tape test, three removals; no blistering or peeling
  • Temperature Cycling: −62 ± 1 °C to 71 ± 1 °C; no film detachment
  • Abrasion Resistance: 1.0 lb gauze test, 25 cycles; no surface damage
  • Humidity Resistance: 49 ± 2 °C at 95–100% RH for 24 hours; film intact
  • Solvent & Cleaning: Acetone and alcohol exposure; no peeling or scratches
  • Salt Spray: 100 hours at 35 °C with 5% NaCl; excellent corrosion resistance
