General Description

Shape Optics Technologies (SOT) offers high-performance Polarizing Beamsplitter Plates designed to split randomly polarized light into two orthogonal linear polarizations. The PBS reflects S-polarized light and transmits P-polarized light, enabling precise control of polarization states within an optical system.

Manufactured from BK7 or fused silica with advanced thin-film coatings, SOT polarizing beamsplitter plates deliver high durability, low wavefront distortion, and excellent optical clarity. With an extinction ratio exceeding 500:1, these components are well-suited for high-contrast imaging, laser beam routing, and polarization-sensitive measurements.

  • Abrasion Resistance: 1.0 lb gauze test, 25 cycles, no surface damage
  • Humidity Resistance: 49 ±2 °C, 95–100% RH for 24 h, film intact
  • Solvent & Cleaning: Acetone/alcohol exposure, no peeling or scratches
  • Salt Spray: 100 h at 35 °C with 5% NaCl, no corrosion
