Additionally, its high thermal conductivity allows it to maintain efficient high-power operation (2.0 at.% Ybhas thermal conductivities of 6.9 and 6.3 WK^-1m^-1 along the a and c axes, respectively). This has been proven effective for generating ultrashort pulses and high average power femtosecond oscillators.
