2. General Description
Shape Optics Technologies Pte Ltd (SOT) presents a line of Biomedical Filters that are engineered to meet the demanding needs of biochemical and medical instrumentation. These filters are widely utilized in applications such as biochemical analyzers, microplate readers, and other biological and chemical analysis instruments.
These filters are crafted with exceptional hardness and abrasion resistance, providing a near-unlimited lifetime, making them ideal for long-term usage. SOT’s biomedical filters are designed to maintain their optical performance over time, with precise wavelength blocking and high transmission rates, ensuring high-quality data in analytical instruments. The out-of-band blocking capabilities help reduce noise and increase signal clarity, which is vital for accurate measurements in biochemical processes.
The filters are available in various sizes (8mm, 10mm, 12.7mm, and 15mm) and support a wide range of wavelengths from 340 nm to 630 nm. Customization options are available to meet specific wavelength and instrument requirements. These filters ensure accurate and consistent performance in applications that require stringent optical precision.
3. Spectrum Transmission Curves
If standard components do not meet your application requirements, SOT offers customized solutions tailored to your specific needs. Please contact us for further details or to request custom wavelengths and specifications for your biomedical filters.
4. Coating Quality
- Adhesion Test: The filters undergo an adhesion test compliant with MIL-C-675C military standards. This test involves applying a tape that meets LT-90 specifications onto the lens film layer. After three vertical removals, the coating shows no blistering or peeling.
- Temperature Test: In accordance with MIL-C-675C standards, test pieces are exposed to temperatures ranging from -62±1°C to 71±1°C. After maintaining the pieces at room temperature for two hours, the adhesion test confirms no detachment of the film.
- Abrasion Resistance Test: Conforming to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards, an abrasion resistance test is performed with a gauze tester applying a minimum force of 1.0 lbs (0.45 kg). This process is repeated 25 times, ensuring no damage to the film surface.
- Humidity Test: The test piece is subjected to 24 hours in a chamber with a temperature of 49 ±2°C and 95%-100% humidity. The film remains intact with no peeling, scratches, or defects.
- Solvent and Cleaning Test: Following MIL-C-675C standards, the filters are exposed to acetone and alcohol at room temperature for at least 10 minutes. After cleaning with alcohol-soaked cotton cloths, no signs of peeling or scratches are observed on the film surface.
- Salt Spray Test: The filters are exposed to a 35°C environment with a 5% saltwater concentration for 100 hours, with no damage observed to the film.
