The tri-stimulus chrominance filters from Shape Optics Technologies Pte Ltd (SOT) are specifically engineered to meet the precise needs of color measurement systems. Based on the XYZ color space model, the X, Y, and Z filters are optimized for different color channels—red, green, and blue, respectively. 4. Coating Quality

  • Adhesion Test: Compliant with MIL-C-675C military standards, an adhesion test is conducted by applying a tape that meets LT-90 specifications to the lens film layer. The tape was fully affixed and removed vertically. After three repetitions, no blistering or peeling was observed.
  • Temperature Test: Following MIL-C-675C standards, the filters are subjected to temperatures of -62±1°C and 71±1°C. The adhesion test is repeated after the temperature cycling at room temperature (16°C~32°C), confirming no film detachment.
  • Abrasion Resistance: Conforming to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards, the abrasion resistance is tested using a gauze tester applying a minimum force of 1.0 lbs (0.45 kg) for 25 cycles. This ensures no damage occurs.
  • Humidity Test: Conducted under MIL-C-675C criteria, the filters undergo a humidity test in a controlled chamber at 49±2°C and 95%-100% humidity for 24 hours with no damage observed.
  • Solvent and Cleaning Test: The filters are exposed to acetone and alcohol for at least 10 minutes each and then air dried and wiped clean. The surface remains undamaged.
  • Salt Spray Test: After 100 hours in a 35°C salt spray environment with a 5% concentration, the filters show no signs of damage.
