Laser Windows

Laser Protective Windows | High Power 1070nm & 10.6µm

Laser protective windows are essential components in high-power laser systems, serving as a barrier between the laser source and the processing environment while maintaining excellent optical performance. They are widely used in laser cutting, welding, and marking, where resistance to heat, plasma, and high laser intensity is critical.

At SOT, our laser windows are manufactured from high-quality optical materials and advanced coatings to deliver high transmission, low wavefront distortion, and superior thermal stability. They are optimized for common industrial laser wavelengths, including 1070 nm (fiber/YAG lasers) and 10.6 µm (CO₂ lasers). Precision polishing and coating processes ensure stable performance and long service life, even in harsh industrial environments.

Key Features

  • High Transmission – Maximized light throughput with minimal optical loss
  • High Damage Threshold – Designed for high-power laser operation
  • Excellent Thermal Stability – Reliable performance under fluctuating thermal conditions
  • Low Wavefront Distortion – Preserves beam quality and processing accuracy
  • Industrial Versatility – Ideal for cutting, welding, and marking systems

Spectrum Transmission

Standard transmission curves are available for common wavelengths. If standard configurations do not meet your requirements, custom spectral designs can be provided based on wavelength, size, substrate, and application-specific parameters.

Coating Quality & Environmental Reliability

All laser windows undergo rigorous testing in accordance with military and industrial standards:

  • Adhesion Test (MIL-C-675C) – No peeling or blistering after repeated tape removal
  • Thermal Cycling Test – −62°C to +71°C with no coating degradation
  • Abrasion Resistance (MIL-C-675C / CCC-C-440) – No surface damage after 25 cycles
  • Humidity Test – 95–100% RH at 49°C for 24 hours with no defects
  • Solvent Resistance – Acetone and alcohol exposure without peeling or scratches
  • Salt Spray Test – 100 hours at 35°C, 5% salt concentration with no damage
