2. General Description

Dichroic filters are optical components primarily used in applications requiring precise wavelength separation. They are designed to transmit a specific portion of the spectrum while reflecting other wavelengths. These filters are ideal for optical systems such as cameras, spectrometers, and microscopes, especially where precise spectral isolation is critical. The dichroic filter range from Shape Optics Technologies Pte Ltd (SOT) includes products optimized for high transmission and high reflectivity, offering tailored solutions across multiple spectral bands. These filters are constructed from high-quality materials and are designed for durability, even under harsh environmental conditions.

3. Spectrum Transmission Curves

Dichroic filters provide superior performance in both transmission and reflection. Depending on the specific model, these filters allow for high transmission rates while reflecting a designated range of wavelengths. The range of products includes various filters optimized for visible and infrared light management, ensuring superior signal clarity in optical systems.

  • Customization Available: If the standard components are not available, we can provide custom solutions upon request, tailored to your application needs.

4. Coating Quality

  • Adhesion Test: Compliant with MIL-C-675C military standards, a tape meeting LT-90 specifications was applied to the lens film layer. This tape was affixed and removed vertically three times, with no blistering or peeling observed.
  • Temperature Test: In line with MIL-C-675C specifications, test pieces were exposed to temperatures between -62±1°C and 71±1°C. After two hours at room temperature (16°C~32°C), the adhesion test showed no film detachment.
  • Abrasion Resistance Test: Conforming to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards, a gauze tester applied a minimum force of 1.0 lbs (0.45 kg) to the film 25 times, ensuring no damage to the film surface.
  • Humidity Test: The film withstood a controlled temperature and humidity chamber set to 49±2°C and 95%-100% humidity for 24 hours, with no defects, peeling, or scratches observed.
  • Solvent and Cleaning Test: Following MIL-C-675C standards, test pieces were exposed to acetone and alcohol for 10 minutes each. After air drying and cleaning with an alcohol-soaked cotton cloth, the film surface showed no signs of peeling or scratches.
  • Salt Spray Test: The film was exposed to a 5% saltwater concentration at 35°C for 100 hours, with no signs of damage to the surface.
