These filters are engineered to provide optimal light transmission and reflection across critical wavelengths commonly used in LiDAR applications, such as 850nm, 905nm, 940nm, and 1550nm.

LiDAR systems, which are used in autonomous vehicles, geophysical surveying, and industrial automation, require filters that can accurately filter and reflect specific wavelengths of laser light to measure distance and create detailed 3D models of environments. 4. Coating Quality

SOT’s Laser Radar Filters undergo stringent testing to ensure they meet high-quality standards:

  • Adhesion Test: Compliant with MIL-C-675C military standards. The adhesion test involves applying tape (LT-90 specification) to the lens film and removing it vertically three times. No blistering or peeling is observed.
  • Temperature Test: The filters are exposed to temperatures of -62±1℃ and 71±1℃. After exposure, they are tested at room temperature (16℃–32℃) for two hours, with no film detachment.
  • Abrasion Resistance Test: Conforming to MIL-C-675C and CCC-C-440 standards, the test involves applying 1.0 lbs (0.45 kg) of force with a gauze tester, repeated 25 times without damaging the surface.
  • Humidity Test: Filters are exposed to a controlled chamber set to 49±2℃ and 95%-100% humidity for 24 hours. The film remains intact, free from peeling or scratches.
  • Solvent and Cleaning Testing: The filters are exposed to acetone and alcohol for 10 minutes each. After air drying and cleaning with alcohol, no peeling or scratches appear.
  • Salt Spray Test: Filters are tested in a 35°C environment with a 5% saltwater concentration for 100 hours, showing no signs of damage.
