Time-resolved fluorescent filters Optical Filter

Time-Resolved Fluorescence Filters | FLIM & TRF Optics

Time-Resolved Fluorescent Filters are engineered for applications that require precise temporal discrimination of fluorescence signals. In time-resolved techniques, separating short-lived background fluorescence from longer-lived emission is critical to achieving accurate, high-contrast results.

These filters are widely used in fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM), time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, immunoassays, and molecular diagnostics. SOT’s advanced multilayer dielectric coatings deliver high transmission in the passband and strong optical density outside the band, ensuring clean temporal and spectral separation.

Key Features

  • Optimized for Time-Resolved Fluorescence (TRF) – High signal-to-noise ratio for accurate detection of fast fluorescence decay
  • Advanced Coating Technology – High transmission, steep spectral edges, and excellent out-of-band blocking
  • High Sensitivity – Enables detection of weak and short-lived fluorescence signals
  • Customizable Designs – CWL, FWHM, optical density, size, and coating stack tailored to your system
  • Durable & Reliable – Stable optical performance under demanding laboratory and diagnostic conditions

Spectral Performance

Standard and custom spectrum designs are available, including excitation filters, emission filters, and dichroic mirrors optimized for time-resolved fluorescence. Custom transmission curves can be engineered to match specific fluorophores, detectors, and timing requirements.

Coating Quality & Reliability

All Time-Resolved Fluorescent Filters undergo rigorous qualification:

  • Adhesion (MIL-C-675C) – No blistering or peeling after repeated tape tests
  • Thermal Cycling – Stable from −62 °C to +71 °C
  • Abrasion Resistance – MIL-C-675C / CCC-C-440 compliant
  • Humidity Resistance – 95–100% RH at 49 °C for 24 h
  • Solvent Resistance – Stable after acetone and alcohol exposure
  • Salt Spray Test – 100 h at 35 °C, 5% salt solution
